There is no such thing as going to Canada quickly, but if you qualify for their specific programs, these are the easiest ways to either immigrate temporarily or permanently. For example, business immigration programs allow immigrants to obtain permanent residence by opening or investing in a business in Canada. The Skilled Worker and Skilled Trades programs are also options you have on the table for express entry if you are a well-educated and experienced individual. Finally, it is also possible to immigrate to Canada if you are “self-employed” such as being a farmer or an artist.
So how do you immigrate to Canada if you are just an average person? Here are some options for temporary residence, but can be turned into permanent residence if you meet the requirements.
Trade agreements are open only to a few countries such as Central America countries such as Costa Rica and Panama, South America countries such as Chile, Colombia, and Peru, European countries such as Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Iceland, and Norway. Nafta visa is also available to US, Mexico, Jordan, and Israel.
If you come from this country and work for a company that has a contract with a Canadian company or a Canadian operation, you may be able to work in Canada without going through all the hassle of obtaining a work visa. Instead, you will get a so-called Nafta visa.
Work Permit with Job Offer
If you university educated or a very experienced worker, you may obtain a work permit and immigrate to Canada. However, in order to do so, you have to either have a job offer from a Canadian employer or convince Human Resources and Development Canada that there is no Canadian fit to do the job. That’s when this easy process becomes a bit complicated.
As you probably know, having a Canadian spouse or partner is definitely the easiest way to immigrate. However, you should beware of marriage fraud. Getting married just in order to obtain permanent residence is against the law. So the best way to get spousal sponsorship is to have a real relationship. The IRCC will check up on you around two years after you are approved.
Working holidays are available to young people who want to travel or gain international experience. In order to get a working holiday visa, you have to be aged between 18 and 30. You don’t need a job offer to get approved, and you will get an open work permit. In order to get accepted, apart from your age, it is best to be a young professional who has recently graduated or a student at a post-secondary institution in your home country.
If you or your parents can afford it, there is no better way of immigrating to Canada than through studying at a Canadian university or college. Canadian provinces often offer permanent residence for graduates of post-secondary institutions. So, if you are planning to study in Canada, it is best to carefully research the Provincial Nominee Program for your university’s province, and see what it takes to obtain citizenship.
The easiest way to go to Canada is definitely with a visitor visa. You cannot legally work in Canada with a visitor visa, but nothing stops you from looking for a job and convincing a Canadian employer that he needs a skilled worker like you. So, you should start by planning a holiday to Canada and while there, see how you can make a few connections. If your job search was successful, you can go home and start working on obtaining a work permit visa.
